Regroup and Re-attack

It has been a couple of weeks since my last insightful sharing.  I've been giving a lot of thought to what has transpired over the past year and it's amazing.  The Artist Success Studio (www.artistsuccessstudio.com) celebrated its first anniversary the end of February.  It's amazing to think that artists from across the country have been coming together on Wednesday evenings or listening to the recording to find new ways of achieving success.  I'm honored to have the opportunity to share my thoughts, experiences and hypotheses with you along my personal journey as an artist.

I'm stuck on the concept of the artist as an entrepreneur.  I know that goes against the grain for many but I'm sticking to my guns.  I read a lot of other consultants and coaches information and for some reason the word entrepreneur as it relates to artist is noticeably absent.  I don't see how anyone can develop a successful identity without considering themselves an entrepreneur.  Those who do take on that role are more successful, determined by my observations and interactions with artists, museum curators and gallery owners/directors from across the country.

As we start the second year of the Artist Success Studio I'm more committed to focusing on artists as entrepreneurs.  If you're intrigued at the idea then join me...if you think I'm full of crap then go along your way and find the information that you connect to because that's the only information you'll be receptive to.

I wish you well in your journey.  I'm proud to introduce a new program for artists that will give you the playground to explore your art more deeply and how to achieve success more clearly.  Visit the Artist Pilgrimage, www.artistpilgrimage.com for more information.

Hope to see you on the road to success!
