It's December and the end of the year is approaching fast.  This past week I received four letters from nonprofit organizations asking me to give money just in time for it to be a tax deduction.  There's lots of money out there and unfortunately the arts are often overlooked at this time of year.

If you are an artist, live with an artist, are friends with an artist, are a patron of the arts or just like art, I'm asking you to please give money to your favorite arts organization.  I will put a plug in for smaller organizations because the big guys like theaters and museums have endowments and big corporate funding...it's the smaller groups that often get over looked.

Take a moment and at this time of year show your gratitude for the arts by donating and helping your favorite arts organization start the new year off with a bang.
