It's already the second week of November and hopefully you're considering your personal and art business direction for 2007.  It may be a great time to begin considering the shows you'd like to enter or the galleries or venues you'd like to exhibit at for the coming year.  What do you have planned for the first quarter of the new year? 

The longer you're in the business the easier it becomes because you know the shows you've entered and been juried in over the past few years.  It gives you a time table to see how you will plan the coming year.  Does your new work give you new opportunities based on theme or medium?  HOw will you find opportunities for this new work to see the world?

Giving some thought to plans for the first quarter now will save you lots of heartache and Pepto when we get to January 1.  Work toward less anxiety and more success.  I've been looking at what work I will finish by the end of the year and making sure I have arrangements for the work to be photographed so the slides/digital are ready for each and every opportunity.  Don't be unprepared and let great opportunities pass you by.  Beat the odds with a little preparation.
