Creating a new vocabulary

My recent adventures have taken me to teaching a color class at Highland's Ranch String.  I was in the store on Friday and it's amazing what happens when we are open to learning, we can create new world's for ourselves.  Following the class the participants have learned a new vocabulary and it's not something that went in one ear and out the other, they are actually utilizing the information to create better and more interesting work.

It's wonderful to hear people ask each other..."Is it a tint or a shade?"  Knowledge is power and it definitely increase our creativity.  When we have opportunities that expand our lives we can make meaningful changes and in the art world it means more successful art.

Go take a class and don't just let it land on deaf ears, take it and run with it.  I hope the facilitator/instructor/teacher has the thrill that the information is being used.  I have and I'm grateful for the group's participation.

Joyfully yours...
Greg
